The Importance of Being Earnest is one of my favourite plays. There's such an honesty and steadfastness to the name, it felt fitting for a curtain rod of similar character to bear such a moniker. And any opportunity to reference Oscar Wilde! Forget the wallpaper, just hang curtains.
A classic curtain rail in blackened brass. This rail can be mounted from the ceiling or protrude from the wall. Sold as is, curtain rings not included.

Outside edge to outside edge inc flange approx 103cm, 98.3cm screw point width, 13cm deep, 4.3cm dia flange. PLEASE NOTE due to the rod's hand-beaten nature, dimensions will vary. It’s recommended to measure each fitting individually before fixing.

WHERE TO USE | indoor
1. Ensure the surface you are fixing the curtain rail to has a capable load bearing capacity. We recommend seeking advice or engaging a professional installer 2. With the flanges attached to the rod, measure screw point to screw point and mark it up on the ceiling/wall. 3. Loosen grub screws with an allen key to release the rail. 4. Attach zinc flanges with a large anchoring screw on points previously marked on ceiling/wall. 5. Thread curtain & curtain rings onto rail. 6. Insert rail firmly and as far into the flanges as it will go. While the rail is in place, tighten the allen keys as much as possible to ensure the grub screws are secure and the rail will hold.
Our brass products are raw or aged and protected with a satin gloss lacquer. Solid brass products are suitable to be used in wet & humid environments. Using brass products in wet environments or outdoors you will notice the possibility that the finishing sealer wears down and the brass will begin to patina & change. We embrace the changing surface of this wonderful & time honoured metal. Raw unsealed brass pieces will patina & age more quickly as a living finish. We think it makes them all the more beautiful.
